This is pastel & charcoal on blue paper - couple hours I think. I picked up the shells last weekend on a beach in Wells that was right next to this lovely place.

Fine pencil work can become tedious.... took a break with charcoal & pastel. This isn't actually finished... but getting the head to look like a head was so painfully frustrating I have to set it aside for a while. (I did spray it so I won't ruin it (again)...) It's worth noting that this is actually larger than the others... previous sketches were done on a 6x8 pad, this one is 9x12. And my cat's paws really are huge.
